Are You a "Digital Storyteller"?

Steve Rubel, micropersuasion uber-blogger and social media expert, details some emerging digital careers for marketers. One he calls "digital storytellers," which I would, of course, call brandtellers.

Steve notes:

"...there is a big market for people who know how to create or cultivate compelling content that pulls in people."

I agree with his premise, but would expand the thought to include offline as well as online communications -- while digital is necessary, we still manage to find ourselves in front of others every now and then, sometimes sans PowerPoint or a screen. What then?

When it comes to presentations, you really should consider telling stories instead of sharing boring bullets. The team at Presentation Geeks shares some best practices worth following that they call the Art of Presentation Storytelling.
