How Well Does Your Team Represent Your Brand Story?
You tell your brand story very well. You know how to involve your audience and what will make your story stick with them. You feel good when you're telling your story and you feel great when your audience -- a prospect, customer, partner -- tells your story within earshot and you hear how well they repeat your story.
Congratulations!
Now, what about your team? How well does your team represent you brand story? This seems like a simple enough question. But I want you to think about a few things for a moment.
No advertisement.
No press release.
No product launch.
No social media campaign.
No viral video.
Can undo what a team member who consistently represents your brand story incorrectly can do to your brand.
Is anyone on your team unsure about what your brand story is? Are they unable to convey the brand promise? Unable to paint a visual image? Does anyone on your team not believe your brand story? Are they rude to customers?
If you're feeling a little uncomfortable as you read this, don't worry. Unfortunately, for many marketers this is perfectly normal, SOP. But there is a cure. Teach everyone on your team your brand story and make sure they can tell the story as well -- or better -- than you can. Because, there is a long list above that can be wiped out by just training your team.
What do you think?
