What’s Your Perspective?

While walking up Broadway at Times Square, I saw the ubiquitous double-decker tourist buses. It was a beautiful sunny day and I wondered how the city looked to the passing tourists who sat atop the open-top bus – just ducking the traffic lights.

It got me thinking – could a change in your perspective change the way you’re Brandtelling? I’ve posted before about having someone outside add a little perspective, but is there something you can do right now that will add some distance, some perspective, a new angle to your story?

Try it next time you’re working on a message, get away from your desk, phone, email, twitter, etc. Take a notepad or a portable whiteboard and go somewhere else to create your message. Sometimes adding a little distance – looking at things in a new way – can make all the difference.
